Fantastic house wonderfully restored. Could have spent the entire day here. Most beautiful and appropriate furniture, silverware and decorative items. A worthwhile step back in history. Well organised and informative
Alfred Lord Tennyson's former gaff. It's been a hotel as long as I remember, but was recently purchased and restored by a private owner. They've done a great job. You can take a tour with an audio guide and learn a lot about Tennyson, his family and the Freshwater Circle of Victorian artistic luminaries. The people who show you around are lovely, but a little over-eager to please. Chill, people!
