Fascinating museum and quaint tea shop with homemade cakes
Interesting place, loved Jimi Hendrix statue
Excellently run and organised house with small gardens and lovely tearooms.Parking is a little awkward, but as it's only a fairly small venue if it's full, it's full, so come back later on! Fascinating photographic exhibits are very well described, and you will need a few hours here to appreciate everything
Photography evolution. Shown in a beautiful building that captures the essence of very early portraiture. The rooms are bright and airy. And the pictures are well presented and displayed. There is a dressing up room with Victorian costumes. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and passionate. An incredible museum with a section dedicated to the isle of Wight festival some interesting artworks and original photography of the many years shows. Parking is available, and a lovely tea shop with a wide selection is joined to the museum. The other side is a vintage/second hand book shop. Also a gift shop with a wide range of items. Definitely worth a visit
A fascinating insight into Julia Margaret Cameron and her home on the Isle of Wight. Not a lot of choice at the cafe. Well worth it if you have any interest in photography.
