We had such a successful family weekend at GTWW. The accommodation is beautifully crafted and very well thought through, with every comfort and entertainment you could possibly need. Perfect for two adults and four children. Crisp sheets, white towels, hot water and sheepskin underfoot. On the edge of some lovely walks to traditional inns and trendy eateries too. We cannot wait to return!
An amazing site that really takes you away from modern stresses. The tents are finished to a very high standard and the team make you feel very welcome!
Going camping on a wet and windy weekend at the end of April might not sound particularly appealing but when its Glamping the Wight Way it doesnt matter what the weather is throwing at you. We had a wonderful stay over a chilly weekend sandwiched between two scorchers. We were, however, very snug, the wood and canvas tents are the most luxurious, comfortable lodges and so much fun to stay in. Heating, cooking, water are all powered by wood burning stoves, (although a 2 ring gas hob is a useful cheat). We even managed to cook a roast chicken in the wood fired oven in record time but if you want the simple option the excellent Red Lion pub is just a 10 minute walk away. The superb Freshwater Coop stocks a huge variety of local produce. In the lodge theres a gorgeous and functional living space, huge comfortable beds and bunks, two loos and even a bathroom - just stoke up the wood burner to enjoy a soak. For the more hardy theres a heated outdoor shower. At the beautiful rural site in Freshwater you can forget all the busyness of life, enjoy the views across the creek from the swing seat on the deck and relax. Owners Sarah and Alf were so welcoming. They gave us all the useful local info we needed and left us to enjoy off-grid living. As the evening drew in we lit the fire pit, toasted marshmallows and enjoyed the good life.
Just returning home after a weeks very relaxing break at Glamping the Wight Way!I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in the countryside, but for those who still like a bit of luxury! Its so much more than your average glamping experience - from the wood burning fire boiler and free standing bath, to the fire pit and vast amount of private space - it really is the best! The owners really go above and beyond to make sure that you have the best trip possible, with lots of tips about the surrounding area.Already planning the next visit
